October 10, 2016 – Rockford Public Schools, the third largest school district in Illinois, has selected Hayes Software Systems’ TIPWeb-IT for asset inventory management. This comprehensive, district-wide solution will be implemented across the K-12 school system’s 39 campuses to benefit over 28,000 students and 4,700 staff.
Rockford PS selected TIPWeb-IT, a system tailored specifically to the needs of K-12 districts, because it will allow them to accurately and efficiently track the location and status of district-owned assets. Located in northern Illinois, Rockford PS was overwhelmed with inconsistencies as individual schools struggled to streamline manual processes. Lacking the district-wide oversight necessary to effectively manage the influx of new technology entering the district, Rockford recognized the importance of finding a more automated solution.
The initial stage of the project includes conducting a complete physical inventory of the technology assets across the district to create a baseline of current inventory. The project will also include strategic system integrations between TIPWeb-IT and the district’s purchasing and fixed asset systems to save time and decrease errors and data inconsistencies. As the project continues through its implementation, Rockford PS will partner with Hayes’ consulting services to help ensure user adoption, align inventory roles and responsibilities, and manage the impact of this new change.
“Hayes is thrilled to have the opportunity to partner with Rockford Public Schools in the implementation of a new asset management solution,” says Matt Winebright, President and CEO at Hayes Software Systems. “School staff will now have access to accurate and timely data to make their jobs easier, as well as more time to focus on what they do best – shaping and executing a vision of academic success for all students.”
