Hayes Software Systems, the leader in inventory control solutions for K-12 education, announced the promotion and appointment of Mario Torres as Chief Revenue Officer. As CRO, Torres oversees operations of revenue-generating direct and channel sales teams.
Torres has over 15 years of experience in sales, with a focus on curating talent to drive revenue. He joined Hayes one year ago as Director of Sales and has transformed sales operations in that short period of time. With the implementation of effective sales coaching methods, improved pricing models, and strategic territory strategies, the sales team has grown tremendously in drive, efficacy, and productivity.
“It has become increasingly clear to us that we needed to create the CRO position to accommodate the growing needs of the company. Without question, Mario is the leader we need in that role,” said Matt Winebright, CEO and President of Hayes. “His leadership and impactful coaching nurtures a culture where talent thrives. Mario is an embodiment of our core values; he believes that each and every person on our team has value and empowers them with autonomy, mastery, and purpose. Mario is a crucial asset to our company and his contributions as CRO will drive our continued growth.”
“I joined Hayes because of the authenticity of the leadership who drive our company’s mission to help schools and students,” Torres said. “I’m grateful to spend every day empowering our sales team to lead with empathy and understanding when working with school districts across the country. In this expanded role, I look forward to contributing to the strategic direction of the company and driving revenue through an emphasis on specific product streams and strategic partnerships.”
