MVLA High School District’s Tech Transformation

Mountain View-Los Altos (MVLA) Union High School District is making major tech upgrades with Director of IT Bob Fishtrom leading the Charge. For his work at MVLA, Fishtrom was highlighted in Toggle Magazine!

MVLA, is located in Mountain View, CA and serves 4,400 students. MVLA is comprised of two comprehensive high schools, an alternative high school, and an adult education center. Being located in Silicon Valley, MVLA has no shortage of great tech companies in their vicinity.

When Fishtrom joined MVLA at the start of the 2019-20 school year, his goal was clear – student and staff should have access to technology, believing “Technology needs to support instruction, maintenance, business and operations.” When it came to asset tracking and management Fishtrom put in place TIPWeb-IT. TIPWeb-IT allowed MVLA to manage assets, check device out, and create reports. This system allowed Fishtrom to efficiently track and plan the school districts technology needs.

By improving his districts asset management software and processes, Fishtrom was able to set MVLA up to successfully transition to virtual learning. To learn more on how he successfully accomplished this, check out the full article on Toggle!
