Chesapeake Public Schools Selects TIPWeb-IM as District-Wide Textbook Inventory Management System

Austin, Texas, March 1, 2013 – Chesapeake Public Schools has awarded Hayes Software Systems a 5-year contract to provide a Textbook Inventory Software System and Services. Through the competitive request for proposal solicitation process, a team of district and school level staff selected TIPWeb-IM as their software of choice.  Chesapeake PS joins a host of other Virginia school districts including: Virginia Beach CPS, Chesterfield PS, Newport News PS, and Suffolk PS.

This software will provide Chesapeake PS with a centralized, web-based inventory tracking system for all 52 schools and the central warehouse to manage textbooks and instructional materials for the district’s 39,000 students. Hayes’ proposed solution will include its TIPWeb-IM software for inventory management, automated system integration for the districts’ student information system, and consulting services that will aid CPS in the transition to a centralized inventory management system.

The TIPWeb-IM software system provides Chesapeake PS school administrators the ability to track and manage their entire textbook inventory district-wide through a single system of record.  By connecting with the district’s student information system they will also be able to prepare, months in advance, for instructional material needs based on upcoming student enrollment.  This will allow them to provide books and content to students faster and more efficiently.
